COUNT OF CARFORD (4) returned from an eight-month spell with a pleasing 3rd over 1000m at this circuit, making a move before the corner and sticking on pretty well despite running out of condition late. Second up form is far better and the extra 100m suits perfectly. Yet to miss a top-three finish on the synthetic and that trend should continue. GOROKAN EXPRESS (14) chased hard despite laying in to be beaten just a length first-up over 1200m at Donald. Not a prolific winner but has placed 5/7 at today's journey. In the mix from the ideal gate. MAGIC PIPPA (12) was ridden more aggressively and returned to form with a game 2nd over 1200m here recently. Big chance with a similar effort today.
