Strong tempo from Thrilling Chase crossing from an outside gate, with Argo Navis also pushing up. PENNA VELOCE (10) comes here off a break of 11 weeks. Scored over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt at the start of last prep. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent with a similar performance to launch this prep. POD LOGO (13) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on 31 May, finishing fourth and beaten 5 lengths over 1900m at Kyoto Dirt. Has found the right race to kick off on a winning note. MEISHO SOTA (3) finished 1.75 lengths back in third over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt last time out after a gutsy win the start prior. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Likely to be involved in the finish. ARGO NAVIS (6) was in great form at the end of the last campaign with back-to-back wins, the latest over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt 11 weeks ago. Has a high cruising speed. Deserves respect on best figures.
