Strong tempo primarily from Earth God, Resonator and Sunlit Fresco over Hezangelic and Horcrux. HORCRUX (6) stepped up in distance last start and wasn't far off a good winner, beaten just 1L. Back to 1000m today is right up his alley and he draws to be on the speed where he tends to perform his best. CJP rides now and he looks well placed to return to winning ways. SUNLIT FRESCO (10) is on resumption and looked very good in a recent trial. She hasn't won fresh, but has placed 2/3 with the key point today being her light weight for Brad Parnham. Worked through the grades nicely last time in work and can make her presence felt again. MADHI GIRL (2) returned to winning ways last start in narrow fashion at Bunbury. Pike remains in the saddle third-up today, though she will need some luck from the gate. Has class however and is likely to be in the finish. MASAMUNE (3) hasn't been far away lately when flying home late in the race. Can feature again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Horcrux gets the nod.
