Pace looks genuine from Hovland, Navy King and Catani Gardens, closely attended by Fagin. Back at The Valley and HOVLAND (4) goes on top in the opener. He's a lightly raced gelding down from Sydney who was good to the line at Canterbury last time out. The win prior was dominant and he can hold the lead with Shinn on from barrier one. Takes plenty of catching. CATANI GARDENS (1) was okay last start in stronger company at Flemington, battling away in a midfield finish. This suits better and he could improve. NAVY KING (6) should be suited getting to this trip now. His past two have been solid and he maps well. Respecting. RISE TO IT (2) will find this easier than a BM88 at Randwick last time and his best figures read well for this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hovland on top.
