MORNING FUJI (5) sets the standard on the strength of her latest Kasamatsu second, where she was beaten a length and a half by Noah Black at generous odds. She had been well held prior, but her course-and-distance record and recent improvement give her the most convincing profile. WIN ALICE (9) is the clear danger after closing into second behind Wornitz over this trip, and her three wins and one placing from five starts at the track and distance make her a serious threat if she holds that form. CANTUTA (2) has been sound in stronger recent races, finishing third then fourth in 3yo+ B9C2 company, and brings proven 1400m Kasamatsu credentials. MEMORY FILM (4) rebounded to run second last start, though the five-length margin and plain effort two back temper the confidence. The top pair look the main winning hopes, with Cantuta and Memory Film more reliable for the multiples.

His previous third over 1580m behind Krauselung was better, and he has placed five times from six attempts at this track and distance, but 28 starts without a win leaves him needing a sharp fresh lift. |

She can roll forward and has two wins plus eight placings from 23 runs at this track and distance, but the winning case still needs more polish. |
