Genuine tempo with the speedy Vent Saisonnier leading the way. VENT SAISONNIER (10) has the most persuasive profile among the main chances. He was third to Gift Basket here last start, beaten just under five lengths after trying hard, and his earlier fifth to Le Vent Vert was much closer than the finishing position suggests. The track-and-distance record gives him a solid platform. SOSHIJI (8) is the lightly raced danger, with two wins from five starts at Sonoda and a better fourth at her latest run after a plain effort at 1230m. TECHNO EXPRESS (6) brings the strongest recent winning form, having beaten Timeless Love by three lengths before finishing second to Haste, though he is coming back from 1230m. MISTILTEINN (9) is more of a reliable minor-money runner, with consecutive fair efforts and proven 820m Sonoda experience, but he needs to find a sharper winning edge than the top three.
