Expecting Faerywood to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. THE LOCAL (2) embarrassed his rivals here on debut when scoring arrogantly. Promising type that's irresistible not to follow up on. CLASSIC TOUCH (3) returns and was well supported throughout last prep before tackling a deep CL2 at Hawkesbury. Has peaks that give this a big shake. Will be looking for further after this but with the blinkers applied he should be sharp. THE GLEN (6) resumes and looms as another danger off the back of some good efforts to close last prep, though the 1100m might prove a touch too nippy. WILLINGHAM (11) worked home nicely into third here last start and strips rock-hard fit. Carries the big weight but draws well with Boudvillain sticking. JUNGLE LIGHTS (4) has been consistent on wet ground and had merit in her Gundagai third after racing wide throughout. Keeping safe for a minor spot. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Local to win again.

MATTHEW DALE 3YO BAY GELDING 58.0KG Kurrinda Bloodstock (Mgr: Mrs G Driver), Mrs A E Dale, Anax Racing (Mgr: M Anaxagora), J S Hefford, G J Kroeger, W Manning, M J Tomlinson, S Troupkos & The Local (Mgr: J A Prebble) Made a highly effective debut at Goulburn, winning a Maiden by just under five lengths as a dominant odds-on favourite after settling behind the leaders. The stewards noted he was slow to begin, which adds merit to how decisively he put Jenni Moo Moo away. This is obviously tougher but it was some debut win here and he looks above average. |

Her earlier Goulburn second over 1600m, beaten a neck as odds-on favourite, reads better and she has placed three times from three runs here. Can play a role fresh with the blinkers on. |

The Albury third before that was also honest, beaten just over a length behind Lord Of Valor on heavy ground. Ticking along well and deserves respect. |
