MARBLE HALO (5) sets the standard on exposed current form after winning by five lengths at Sonoda last start, beating Will Dusk, and he had already scored by three lengths here the run prior. His record at this track and distance is excellent, and the market has had him very short at his past two wins, so there is substance behind the sequence. EZE VILLAGE (8) is the main danger, arriving off back-to-back Sonoda wins in 3yo+ C1 company and bringing a strong recent winning profile at this venue and trip. FANGXIN LADY (11) has not won at her past two, but last start she made up good ground when beaten just over three lengths and her longer-term Sonoda 1400m record keeps her firmly in the race. DANON ONEUP (4) resumes from a two-month break after a decisive Sonoda win over Buchi A and has an outstanding record with Tomohiro Yoshimura, making him a genuine winning hope if he returns in the same order.
