Moderate tempo expected with Season In The Sun likely to find the front over Spear The Kic and A Shin Ihnen. SEASON IN THE SUN (9) sets the standard in a race where most are still chasing a first win. She has put together successive seconds at Kasamatsu, was respected in betting last start and again looks the runner with the most reliable recent profile, even if the latest margin behind Kitano Kosei leaves a little room for caution. ORLUNE (7) is the obvious danger after finishing second to Bellagio No Yume here, beaten a length, and that is the sharpest last-start result in the race. SATSUKI MERMAID (3) has been beaten over 10 lengths at her past two, but she did pick up in the straight last time and has placed at this track and distance. GOLD PROTECT (1) comes through the Orlune race after finishing fifth, beaten just under three lengths, and profiles as a minor-money hope if she repeats that improved effort.

She still has to turn the tables on Orlune and remains a maiden, but the latest run gives her a genuine place profile. |
