Expecting Borderfall to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. BORDERFALL (2) was a dominant maiden winner fresh and has progressed nicely since. Fit and proven at the trip, he looks another great winning chance. VAIN TEMPTRESS (5) has made a terrific start, taking out her maiden with ease on debut at Hawkesbury before missing by a head at Wyong. With further improvement to come she's a big threat. HARRY THE THIEF (1) is the fresh threat that's been fitted with an Illawarra Grange trial win. Can't knock his efforts so far and with improvement he's right among the winning chances. MUST BE SAIN (6) is rock-hard fit and boasts a strong 1100m record, though he does remain unplaced on the turf. Keeping safe. CHEMTRAIL (3) has patchy form but shoulders peaks that make him interesting. The 2kg claim helps. SUGGESTED PLAY: Borderfall to win.

A trial win at Illawarra Grange helps the fresh case, and the 2kg claim offsets some of the weight. Needs clear running from a quiet pattern, but the fresh profile is strong. |

Beaten as a key market hope, but he gets the right chance to atone. |
