Star Minerva should find the front with Zoe and Casino Shaw on her heels. STAR MINERVA (3) is worth following up after a brave debut win at Kembla Grange. Jumps straight to Class 2, so there's obviously a stable rap. Has clear upside and can make it 2/2. WOLF ISLAND (4) is much more exposed but consistent nevertheless. Strips rock-hard fit off a head-win here last time and gets in well again with a 2kg apprentice on. OKAMI STAR (2) resumes and has been fitted with two quiet trials. Form is patchy but he shoulders peaks that can threaten. WILLINGHAM (1) worked home nicely into third here last start and returns to a winning distance. At his top now, though the draw will likely see him running on from the back again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Star Minerva to make it two on the bounce.

She was placed under pressure late and laid out in the straight, so there is still polish to come, but the race-day result was the right one. Class 2 is a new test, but the upside is obvious. |
