Without frontrunners engaged Maysun gets the chance to lead. STRATFORD (2) couldn't quite live up to expectations on debut but made a promising start nevertheless when charging home for third at Gosford. The step to 1400m suits and he looks the one to beat with that run under his belt. MARKOS PORT (1) attracted no support on debut at Hawkesbury but was strong late to also grab third. Natural improvement and the added trip make him very interesting. SCOISH MALOISH (6) resumes from a short break after placing at Canterbury and Gosford on soft ground. A Warwick Farm trial gives him a solid base for this return. USAIN BOSS (3) is race fit and continues to hold his form, with a wide run at Tuncurry last start adding value to another close third. He must turn the tables on Stratford from their Gosford meeting, but his consistency keeps him right in the contest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stratford to win.

Extra trip is the query, but second-up improvement keeps him in the mix. |
