Just a moderate tempo given the absence of pacy gallopers. TESTY NIC (5) improved last time out, finishing 4 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1200m at Toowoomba. Suitably placed in this contest so anticipating another big run. FOXY ARTIST (1) is a four-year-old gelding who is still a maiden after seven starts but has been in the placings three times. Safely held when resuming last start over 1200m at Toowoomba, finishing seventh and beaten 9 lengths. Strips fitter now and should do far better this time. OKANUI (3) finished eighth, beaten 5 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1000m at Goondiwindi. Definite top-three hope with plenty of improvement to come. The well-related OLD WERMATONG (4) (half to G3 winner and G2 placed Col 'N' Lil) best of the rest from the inside alley. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Testy Nic.
