WILLY'S ROCK (1) clearly sets the standard after consecutive Saga wins, the latest a nine-length success in 3yo+ C2 company when sent out a dominant favourite. His 1400m record is the key strength and the move to Urawa looks no reason to desert him. GO GO LOUIS (8) is the main threat on recent substance, having finished third at Kawasaki, beaten just over a length, after again being respected in betting. NOVEMBER BATHE (5) is harder to line up because her Niigata form reads poorly, but the assessed class drop keeps her in the winning conversation if she can show more second-up. LORD EL DORADO (3) has the most reliable minor-money profile of the remaining selections, with a Kanazawa second two back and a fair closing effort last start, though he still has to turn that into a sharper winning performance.
