Cracking tempo with Pressure Switch and Captain Blood leading the way. CAPTAIN BLOOD (13) last appeared four weeks ago over 1200m at Doomben when he finished seventh. This is his first run for the Richard Laming stable. Nicely placed here and expected to go well. HEAD OF THE RIVER (8) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0.8 lengths from the winner in second over 1125m at Toowoomba after being in contention on the turn. Has her share of ability and will prove hard to beat in this suitable race. The well-related PRESSURE SWITCH (3) (half to G2 winner Losesomewinmore) has recorded four minor placings from six runs this campaign. Turned in another good effort at his most recent run when third over 1000m at Goondiwindi. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is right in contention. GANCEDO (7) finished 10 lengths away in ninth at her last appearance over 1000m at Gold Coast on August 28. Gets 3kg weight relief with the claim and appeals as a top-three contender. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Captain Blood.
