Despite the wide draw Burton Street should cross and set a genuine tempo. Interesting race to finish. GOLDEN PULSE (10) didn't fire a shot first up at Bendigo in a stronger race on heavy ground and has been given a month between runs. He showed good ability in two runs last time in, and gear changes have been made here. Back on firmer footing he can turn things around. RUSSIAN FRONT (6) is racing consistently, beaten 1.5 lengths into fourth at Geelong last time out in a BM62. He doesn't win many but should be right there again. RANAKYE (4) won well two back in a 0-56, good again latest at Mornington. Backs up quickly and should take some catching. IMMINANCE (13) is consistent and an each-way hope from LULU DARLING (14) who has raced well here prior. SUGGESTED PLAY: Golden Pulse to bounce back.
