Change of rider to Katsuto Maruno who has an excellent strike rate when in the saddle, including two wins. Best form puts her right in this. RYOMA (2) drifted back over 1580m here last time before winding up late to finish fourth. Could prove tough to stop. HOME RUN BATTER (3) is usually thereabouts but was again denied last start when he found one better over 1600m at this track. In the right race and looks a great chance get the major prize. TAISEI UNO (1) comes here off a last-start fourth over 1400m at this track. One of the main contenders.
