Cayman Island to take charge ahead of Undercut at a solid tempo. HELLS SPIRIT (8) broke the maiden last start at the seventh attempt, digging deep to just hold on over today's course and distance. Maps beautifully from the good draw. Capable of taking on these better horses. CAYMAN ISLAND (4) is another last start maiden winner, breaking through finally at Wagga over 1400m. In the money at four of five runs here so he makes plenty of appeal on an each-way basis. UNDERCUT (5) lacked a change of gears when a close fourth here over today's journey recently. The application of blinkers might add some fire. WAMBEEN (9) has been in the top three at all three runs this prep. Has come up favourite in morning markets - wouldn't want to be taking silly odds about a horse that has won one from 21. BLAZING SWORD (1) failed first-up at Wangaratta but saves his best for this circuit. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hells Spirit each-way.
