Despite the wide draw Super Norwest should cross and set a genuine tempo.
JOISELLE (4) is on a quicker back-up than any time this prep. Charged home late to be beaten under a length a fortnight ago in a 1000m Randwick Highway. At her best over this distance and is drawn to enjoy a lovely run just off the pace. Clear top pick in a modest edition of the Highway. MCKEON (12) got a mile out of her ground before making decent headway last time out over 1400m at Randwick. Coming back in trip is the query but if ridden a bit closer she should be highly competitive. SUPER NORWEST (9) is back from an eleven-week spell. Best effort last time in work was second-up when beaten just 1.1 lengths in a similar Highway at Randwick. Capable of a cheeky run while fresh. RITZSUN (8) continues to line the bookies' pockets. Had every chance last time but found one marginally better over today's journey at Mudgee. Well in after the claim and should be about the mark. CARRIBEAN KING (6) resumes. In the top three at five of seven runs when fresh so must be considered. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Joiselle.
