Fast pace assured with Koondeeman, Peak Road and Shut Eye leading the charge. SHUT EYE (1) has made a bright start to his campaign on the picnic circuit and will have no problem bringing that form through to this slightly stronger level. A wide gate is no help, but he will still be on the up with his fitness, and is capable of making it 2 wins on the bounce here. GERETY (3) fought on gamely in tight quarters at Mudgee nearly 3 weeks ago when finishing fifth. The step up from 1100m to 1200m will suit her, and she has top 3 claims in this. LESGO DON (4) ended his last prep with a brace of wins. He usually takes a run to get ready, but he will be stronger and has obviously improved. The market will be an important guide to his chances. KOONDEEMAN (6) won his last start at a recent Armidale picnic meeting, and if the track is rain-affected, he can double the dose. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shut Eye each-way.
