Has a good record at this course and distance, including a win and three minor placings. The engagement of Shinji Hatanaka is noteworthy. Goes up a rung or two but he is up to the task. DANON MICHAEL (5) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing ninth at Urawa over 1400m after she got a long way back in the run. Likely improver who should be competitive.
