Platinum Gift has good gate speed and likely to set a genuine tempo with the advantage of the inside draw. PLATINUM GIFT (9) recovered from a slow start to find the front last time out at the Gold Coast on the pole track there and fought on gamely to finish second. He tries a trip beyond 1200m for the first time and only needs to make an even beginning from the pole position this time, to take them all the way. THREE GONGS (8) had a tough trip from a wide gate at Warwick last start and did well to finish fifth, just over a length from the winner. He has a better draw this time and is expected to be competitive, especially if the track is rain-affected. MIGHTY JUDD (7) has copped a pair of wide draws to open his current campaign and finished midfield as favourite at Kilcoy 4 weeks ago. Justin P Stanley is back in the saddle, and he is ready to put his best hoof forward here. Each way value. CLASSIQUE GIRL (14) was third fresh up and with an extra 150m being ideal second up, she will be hard to hold out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Platinum Gift to win.
