SHINZEN KAGA (8) is building towards a win with placings at his last two runs, the latest effort a second over 1800m at this track when beaten a neck. Today might be his day. MEINER ZEUS (1) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Hakodate over 2000m after being prominent from the outset. Drawn for a good trail just off the pace. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. CORE (12) was in the market first up but could only manage fifth over 1800m at this track last start. Should camp just off the leaders. Should be involved in the finish. MEISHO BISTRO (13) is back from a spell of four-and-a-half months. Closed last prep as a winner, taking out a 2000m contest at Hanshin by a nose. One of the main contenders.
