Expecting Pirate to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. Small field but a couple that have been able to find some form on the dirt in recent months. PIRATE (1) has been a different horse since racng on this track and he looks the one to beat, even with the big weight. He will go forward, run them along and should keep running. STRASBEAU (3) is another that has really turned his form around since switching from turf racing. He was eight lengths behind Pirate the only time they met so he will need to have improved to turn it around. CASTLECOMER (6) mixes his form but he does pop up for a win or two every campaign. He looks a top three chance in the small field. TAIPAN TOMMY (2) has been freshened up and can run well, although he may be better for it. SHADOW EXPRESS (4) is honest but might lack the class of a couple of these. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Pirate to win again.
