Strong early tempo with Key Brise and Variation leading the way. EIGEN HAARD (2) stalked the pace when resuming at this track and trip last start then worked to the line steadily to finish second. Will drift back but wind up late. Will be tough to stop. KEY BRISE (15) could only manage ninth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1400m at this track, beaten only 1.75 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. KILLER TUNE (12) returns after nine weeks in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a sixth over 2000m at Hanshin. One of the leading chances. VARIATION (7) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at this track, beaten 2 lengths into fifth. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
