AWAPUNI SYNTHETIC   24 Aug 2025

GOING:

CENTRAL ITM - MARTON & FEILDING 1700m

Track: AW     True

Linkin Park to take charge ahead of Wonderboy at a strong tempo. WONDERBOY (2) was close up in third place as favourite here 3 weeks ago when setting the pace, and will be peaking at the right time for his first test beyond a mile. He will probably race on the speed again, despite a wide gate, and should be the one to beat. Follow your money. NAVY ICON (1) has found some form since joining the Clint Isdale stable, and will enjoy stepping up from 1400m to 1700m. He can secure a soft run from a handy draw, and if the gaps come at the right time, he can have the last say. RUJI (3) got clear room late when running into third place by a neck here just over 5 weeks ago. He is having just his second start from the in-form Suzy Gordon stable, and should pick up a win at short notice. YAKATTACK (4) ran on too late fresh up over this trip here 3 weeks ago, finishing third. He will strip fitter, and is another who is capable of winning a race quickly this season. BRIAR (7) will be dropping back into maiden company and can figure in the top 4. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wonderboy can lead all the way here. Include Ruji in all combinations.
