A solid tempo anticipated with The Wayfarer and Montrock ahead of Beaukati and Flip The Switch. THE WAYFARER (2) was back to his best, narrowly beaten this level from the front as a $4.00F. Keeps the handy 2kg claim, and he will skip across and ride the speed. He's on an 8-day return, and a good surface won't hinder. Stablemate REWARD THE SHERIFF (1) is much better than his last two outings suggest. Finally draws a decent gate, and Linda is reunited. He's won twice this course and distance. BEAUKATI (9) led and found his best form, narrowly beaten at Mildura. He enjoyed the return to a dryer surface, and the effort stacks up. Has an awkward gate, but he has a talented hoop aboard. FLIP THE SWITCH (5) was beaten a nose at Mildura two back and can run along from the inside barrier. She can't be ruled out. KEZZA'S LEGACY (6) resumed and won a recent jumpout. She needs a good ride but has pieces of form that would have her well in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing The Wayfarer.
