EXCEPTION (1) showed little early speed then came with a powerful run to finish second last time out over 1400m at this track. Expected to prove tough to hold out again. RETRO TYPE (8) was always well back over this course and distance last time and never threatened in the straight, beaten 11 lengths into ninth. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. SPIRIT KOOKS (10) turned in a modest performance when fourth last time out over 1600m at this track, beaten 5 lengths, after a win at this track at the previous outing. Expect a better run this time.
