KARPUZ PELUS (16) is a four-time winner who has been racing in great heart, scoring by one length last time out over 1200m at this track. Goes well at the trip and she looks sure to be in the finish again. PAIR POLLUX (6) was responsible for a solid effort last time out when third at Hakodate over 1200m, beaten 1.1 lengths. Cherry-ripe now. Fuma Matsuwaka who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Well placed and should be in the finish. PANJA TOWER (5) scored over 1600m in the G1 NHK Mile Cup at Tokyo at his most recent appearance on May 11. Sure to make his presence felt. WIN CARNELIAN (10) lines up for the first time since April 5. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1200m at Kyoto. Among the better hopes.
