Not much early pressure but Brulante, Ruling Dame and Chipilly can take up forward spots. CHIPILLY (8) showed real grit last start when leading for the majority before being collared late here. Should look to race prominently again from the draw, and with a repeat effort she will take some stitching. BRULANTE (4) produced a sharp improvement when sitting on the pace and sticking on strongly to score by a head at this course and distance. With that confidence-boosting win under the belt, another bold run is on the cards. NADELL (6) has a modest strike rate but continues to race honestly, finishing a sound second over 1760m here last start. Back in trip, he can figure in the finish. BONDI'S SON (1) was an eye-catching maiden winner over the track and trip last start. Tougher now but he carries upside and as to be respected. GIBRALTAR GOLD (5) rattled home into the frame here last start and if the pace is on early she could finish right over the top. Don't take lightly. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Chipilly.
