Opawa Jack to take charge ahead of Jack Morrison at a solid tempo. CHANTILLY LACE (2) has been kept very busy this winter and is showing no signs of having had enough, especially after winning the feature at New Plymouth 8 days ago. She is having her first run on a poly track, but is nicely placed at the weights, and can win again. OPAWA JACK (1) is a quality stablemate of the top pick, who will be peaking third up from a spell. He was a recent Foxton trial winner and is expected to figure in the top 3 this time. ISLAND HOP (4) ran his best race this prep when finishing third at Woodville last week. He is a genuine performer when fit and can now hold his form. Each way. JACK MORRISON (5) has a terrific record on this course and is unbeaten in 4 starts over this trip. He is nicely weighted, and with a nice swing in his draw from last time, he can bounce back into the money here. Don't risk him. KICK ON (6) has been below his best, but drops to a nice place in the weights, and from the pole position, he is worth including in all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Chantilly Lace is weighted to win again, but don't risk her stablemate Opawa Jack.
