Good tempo anticipated with Spirits Burn Deep and Loch Erin leading the way. SPIRITS BURN DEEP (7) drops back a level for this after coming out of a strong Highway race when fifth to Kranich over 1300m at Rosehill on August 16. Has a good record here and gets his chance with Cahill's 2kg claim. Will be charging late. BESSIE LA BELLE (12) has come back a much tougher mare this time in with the three wins from her last four starts. Took care of a handy field with as fav with the 59.5kg when scoring over 1200m at Wagga. Goes up a level now and deserves her chance. ATELIER (1) resumes in a winnable race after contesting good races in town last campaign. Has won here and fitted with the two trials. Respect. SUGGESTED PLAY: Spirits Burn Deep in a solid contest.
