Solid tempo anticipated with Shiny Rock and Ryuno Ahn matching motors. SHINY ROCK (3) has been in great form recently, the latest effort a dominant win by 6 lengths over 1600m at this track to make it five victories in a row. Meeting a tougher field but on current form he is one of the chief contenders. GOLD GEAR (6) made it two wins on the bounce last time out when he scored by 1.75 lengths over 2400m at this track. Winning rider Yuri Takahashi retains the mount. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. TAISEI MONSTRE (12) was well in commission last start over 1600m at this track when fourth, beaten 4 lengths. Has a wide gate to overcome but he can figure in the finish. RYUNO AHN (2) is racing well on the dirt of late, hitting the frame two back at Urawa then improving to score at Urawa over 2000m a month ago. Can sneak into the finish again.
