Alpine Trout should lead and control the tempo. Tricky, with most jumping substantially in trip for the first time. ALPINE TROUT (1) won comfortably this grade here over the distance and then wasn't fancied back to the mile. Pires sticks, and we know he will run it right out. Maps well and is a decent chance to bounce. SKELMORLIE (10) is seasoned and gives every indication that the rise in distance will suit. In good hands and sits at the bottom of the handicap. HARRATA (5) only missed by 1.6L on the synthetic as favourite and is also hard-fit for the middle distance. The premier jockey stays aboard and will give him every chance. SOUTH GEORGIA (8) peaks and the lightly raced galloper has won a trial comfortably since a disappointing run here. The 2kg claim is handy. CATCH A BREAK (2) brings a Maiden win and won't be far away with the benefit of the 3kg claim. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Alpine Trout.
