Plenty of pace from the outset with Manawa and Free Bird leading the charge. SWEET BUT PSYCHO (4) got too far back from an inside draw here 4 weeks ago, and was unable to make up any ground in the worst part of the track that day. He is back down in class and poised to bounce straight back into form. TENFOOT TALL (5) made some good progress during her initial prep, and he recent spell would have done her the world of good. She is bred to improve with further racing, and looked sharp when winning a recent Taupo trial. Watch closely fresh up, can win. FABULOUS GAL (7) won a trial prior to her fresh up eighth at Arawa Park 5 weeks ago. She prefers a firmer surface and is expected to be a quick improver here. Each way. FREE BIRD (9) won fresh up at Ruakaka and then was game in defeat as favourite there 3 weeks ago when finishing fourth. She will be spot on for her home track assignment third up, and can bounce straight back into the money. Stick with her. I PARK (6) and ASGARD (1) are better than their exposed form suggests. Include both into all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sweet But Psycho could be one to side with in the last, especially at some value.
