GOING: G

Book Father's Day at Silks Handicap 1100m

Track: AW   Clouds (Max: 30)   Rail: True.

Little Ditty and Brat can lead the small field. MR MARRAKECH (4) took a couple of runs to adapt to racing in this area after making the move from NSW, but has now gone back-to-back, scoring most recently here by well over 3 lengths, when leading all the way. He has a handy gate, and the hat-trick beckons. BRAT (2) has been placed in 3 of his last 4 starts here and is suited by racing in small fields. He will find this easier than any of his recent assignments, and he can break his track duck here. LITTLE DITTY (5) has been thereabouts in a couple of starts since winning by a nose here in June. He has the bar plates on his front hooves and can bounce back into form here. BEAU FACTOR (1) got shuffled back at the wrong time along the fence here last time out, and that effort is best forgotten. With some better luck from another good draw, he can make amends. Stick with him on an each-way basis. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mr Marrakech to complete the hat-trick here in a small field.
