In a race devoid of early speed Miss Dixie is the most likely to find the front. MISS DIXIE (5) has raced her way back into form and was running on late for fourth in a tougher field at Otaki 4 weeks ago. The step up from 1200m to 1400m is ideal, and she is facing her weakest field in some time here. She has winning form on the track and is well placed to break her win drought here. DUPUG (1) will be resuming from a long spell. He showed some talent earlier in his career, and did have a quiet trial earlier in the month. He can figure in the finish fresh up, especially if there is any market support for him. VIOLETSRBLUE (4) fought on gamely after setting the pace at New Plymouth last week, and has been placed twice from 4 starts on this track. She won't lack fitness, and is another with each-way claims if she gets the right run. ORLEANS BELLE (3) has needed both of her runs back from a spell, and slides down a grade third up. The extra furlong will help, so include her in all multiples. SUGGESTED PLAY: Miss Dixie should be hard to beat in this modest field.
