A solid tempo on the cards with Parklight Prince taking charge. AMAZING SON (1) finished his run off strongly on debut when finishing second by just over a length here nearly 2 weeks ago. It is a good sign to see him backing up relatively quickly, and in a field that is not so strong, he can naturally improve and go one better. RAMBLING ON (2) was put aside to mature after finishing runner-up at only his second career start at Te Aroha in early February. He has been prepared for his return by finishing third in a recent trial and should have no trouble picking up a win this season. READY RESPONSE (3) was given plenty of trial experience prior to finishing third on debut here nearly a fortnight ago. The extra 200m will suit him, and another solid effort can be expected. Each way. OUR ACE (4) ran on too late, fresh up at Waverley just over 4 weeks ago. He might already want more ground, but can figure in the top 3 if the tempo is genuine early on. PARKLIGHT PRINCE (5) should be at his peak fitness now, and is not without top 3 claims in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: In an even field, Amazing Son can get the job done.
