Pacheco, Soldier Boy and Cleese will push to ahead and set a solid tempo. TREGOR (7) battled on gamely in the worst part of the track here 2 weeks ago and finished fourth. He steps up to open class, but this field is not that strong, so the 4.5kg weight drop should be a big advantage. Hard to beat. SOLDIER BOY (2) had missed some work in the lead-up to his last run when finishing well back, and his effort for second prior is the guide to use. If ready, he can take this out. DROP OF SOMETHING (1) has raced his way back into his best form again and was game in defeat when finishing runner-up here 4 weeks ago. Stick with him on an each-way basis. DIAMOND JAK (3) has turned a corner recently and beat the third pick here by a head in the same race last time out. He saves his best for this track and can repeat the dose. PACHECO (8) strips fitter after a fresh up third here a fortnight ago, and should continue to be competitive while the tracks are wet. GIGI (4) let down strongly to get up and score by a short head here 2 weeks ago. He can double the dose. SUGGESTED PLAY: Soldier Boy has a great chance to bounce back into form here.
