Looks to be plenty of pace with Spencer and Lhasa battling for the lead. TWAIN (9) was only claimed late after working hard and hitting the front in the home straight here 2 weeks ago, finishing runner-up by a short-head. He has some even richer targets ahead of him this spring, and with the bright start that he has already made to his campaign, he can go one better here. STERLING EXPRESS (8) has won 3 of his 4 starts this prep, and came with a well-timed run to score by a head at Ruakaka 8 weeks ago. The recent freshen up would have done him no harm, and he has each-way claims again. MALI STON (3) did not have all the luck in some strong fields last prep. He comes to hand quickly, and with 2 trials under his belt, he should not be taken lightly here. DOCTOR ASKAR (7) ended his last prep as a winner of his last 5 starts on the bounce, including the G3 Easter handicap in April. He has to be respected fresh up. JOSHUA BROWN (10) was too tough in the Opunake Cup, and while the tracks are heavy, he can get away with another big run at this level. SUGGESTED PLAY: Twain has more to offer and would be a deserving winner here.
