Speed should be right on over the 1000m journey. Plenty of early speed here, as you'd expect in a 1000m race in this grade. ZANTHRON (2) should be up the front and will give a sight. He's been placed in both runs this preparation and should be close to his peak now. He gets in well with the 3kg claim and will forward. He races well at this track and distance and is the one to beat. SUPER ALANA (7) hasn't done much wrong in similar races at her last two starts. Pannell sticks and she's drawn to park just behind the leaders. Hard to imagine she won't be running them down late. KOVA (8) looks a place chance on recent efforts, while STARLITE VALLEY (6) will likely share the front with Zanthron and can give a sight at a price. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Zanthron to win.
