Moderate tempo with Kimono leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. KIMONO (11) has only had the one campaign for rising star Dom Sutton and was good in each outing, failing to finish further back than fourth. Preparations for the return have included a couple of Flemington jumpouts, finishing second in both, the first of them against the well-performed Subliminal. He likes to race handy, too, which makes the inside alley a big advantage. HARMONETT (8) should be nearing peak fitness after three runs back in races with a bit more depth than this. Doubt too many in this field could have got within 1-3/4 lengths of Bossy Star, like she did last start. GREAT PROSPERITY (4)made a slashing return over a seemingly unsuitable trip last time out, so he looks in store for a big prep, but the slight niggle is staying at 1300m. IRONBAR (1) will find this tougher than the first-up win, but he trotted in that day and will be better for it. MYTHIC (2) is down from BM64 grade, draws low and gets in well after the 4kg claim. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kimono to win.
