Divine Bene and Signor Tortoni should set a strong tempo. DIVINE BENE (12) has come on strongly this time in and relishes the heavy conditions. Looks well placed with Roper's claim after giving them a galloping lesson when a slick 3.5 len winner over 1200m at Newcastle in the heavy (10) going. Has a fitness edge over most of these and can win again. AGAINST THE LAW (8) strengthened up over the break and like the way he closed late with the 61kg when a narrow second over 1100m at Canterbury. Ready for the 1200m and gets his chance from the low gate. SIGNOR TORTONI (5) scratched from Wednesday to be saved for this. Deep into his preparation after finishing third to the progressive Glorious Moments over the 1300m here. Well placed back to the 1200m. AFRICAN DAISY (3) up in grade and trip when a fading sixth over 1400m at Rosehill in BM78 class. Back in her right grade and will be in this for a long way. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Divine Bene to go close again.
