Crafty Colin to take up the running with Arbitrate and Towrope close at hand. CRAFTSMAN (3) failed to run on as expected on the poly track at Awapuni nearly 3 weeks ago, and just may not like that surface. His effort for second on the turf at Woodville is the guide to use, and he can make amends in this. Stick with him. UNUSUAL GEM (7) was put aside to mature after finishing third on debut at Otaki in June. She had won a trial before that, and meets a fairly average field here. She will improve naturally and can figure in the top 3 here. CRAFTY COLIN (1) has been knocking on the door for some time, and was doing his best work late when finishing second by just over a length at New Plymouth last week. He drops back into maiden company and can go one better. BILLY (6) was fourth in a recent trial and is a 6-year-old, only having his second start. He hails from the Kevin Myers stable, so you know that he will be ready to rumble fresh up. Watch the market moves. TOR MENT TOR (2) was not too bad last start without much luck. He backs up quickly and can win this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tor Ment Tor could be the one to win this at good odds.
