Strong tempo with Erika Dream and Highway Star leading from Layback Spin and Lovable. JULNAR (2) returned from a spell and was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 3.5 lengths over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Shaping up nicely and she looks certain to prove tough to beat again. HIGHWAY STAR (9) is back at the races for the first time since January 25. She filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt. Comes here with definite claims. VENT AGREABLE (6) closed off strongly last start to get up for third, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. That was a big improvement on the first two runs this campaign. Among the better chances. LAYBACK SPIN (7) got off the mark with an impressive maiden win when resuming last time out over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Re-unites with Kyosuke Kokubun who was on board last start. Tougher assignment this time but is one of the main contenders.
