GOING: G

CMC BARGING HANDICAP 1200m

Track: Good     Rail: True.

Shoulder Patch to take charge ahead of Smokey Mountain at a strong tempo. SMOKEY MOUNTAIN (1) gave a good sight in front when finishing third here 2 weeks ago. He has only 2 weeks between runs this time, and from his good draw, he can take them all the way this time. SHOULDER PATCH (2) was far too good here a fortnight ago fresh up for his new trainer, and he won't find this much harder. A good draw will help, and he can repeat the dose. BOURBON BEAU (3) travelled well enough when resuming from a spell here 2 weeks ago and only came to the end of his run late, finishing fifth. He generally improves quickly with racing and can figure in the top 3 this time. STREET MASCHINO (4) made some solid progress last year and is resuming from a spell that would have done him the world of good. He might need the run but will be suited by the small field. Include in all combinations. SIRIUS STORM (7) ruined his chances with a slow start fresh up here 2 weeks ago and will be better for the run. He has 6.5kg less to carry this time and won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Smokey Mountain to win.
