There should be a bit of pressure with Prefer To Dance and Aboveforty pressing forward in advance of Pierant and State Of Affairs. STYNSY (6) stepped up to this trip at Ipswich and found one much too good. He covered the others and is on a 7-day return. He showed plenty early doors in Victoria and is likely to keep improving. STATE OF AFFAIRS (5) started at a short quote at Ipswich and likely had excuses. He was beaten into second there prior, and that reads well. We know he'll run it right out. PIERANT (3) is in a top metro barn and has switched from its Sydney yard on a 35-day return. Didn't handle the heavy track last time, but was improving into that. PREFER TO DANCE (4) is at his best over this distance and expect him to go better on a quick back-up. Lang replaces the apprentice and will settle forward. BOLERO (7) has a 3kg claim and should be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Stynsy.
