Earl Of Devon has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. WHO ORDERED DAFISH (1) won in a similar grade to this 3 starts back by over 8 lengths, and his 2 starts since then have also been good, including a last start fourth at Hawkesbury 5 weeks ago. He is nicely placed in this after a 2kg claim, and is the one to beat. ONOMATOPOEIA (9) may not have seen out 2000m as favourite here 2 weeks ago, and is worth another chance back over the shorter trip of 1625m. Follow your money on an each-way basis. AMENOPHIS (3) is heading the right way with his form since making the move from Victoria last year. He was only run down late when setting the pace and finishing second at Gatton 15 days ago. Jake Molloy is riding well, the pair merits healthy respect. BAVARIAN LADY (11) finished fourth in the same race as the third pick at Gatton last start. She is likely to settle back from a wide gate, and is capable of running into a top 3 spot this time. MOOTESSA (8) has turned a corner recently and she is usually reliable when fit. Stick with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Onomatopoeia each way.
