PLATINA TREASURE (8) returned from a spell last start and was on debut over the jumps. Could only manage fourth on that occasion, beaten 10 lengths, in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. Will prove tough to beat with that experience on board. NATURE SHIP (3) filled a minor prize two back in a maiden steeplechase (2880m) at Nakayama then again ran a good race to finish third last time out, beaten 2.75 lengths, in a maiden steeplechase (2970m) at Hanshin. Hard to fault on his recent form. SPECTROGRAM (1) finished fourth the start before last in a maiden steeplechase (2880m) at Nakayama then was a modest fifth last time in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. No surprise to see him back in form. GEOFRONT (14) missed the frame two back on the flat over 2500m then again missed out in a flat race over 2200m at Nakayama last time, 4.5 lengths behind the winner. Plenty of improvement anticipated back over the obstacles.
