Only a small field with Commissions likely to find a comfortable lead. PRIVATE SAPLING (3) tried hard here 2 weeks ago and probably needed the run, finishing third. He has less time between starts here and will be close to his peak fitness. Hard to beat. COMMISSIONS (1) was racing with some good results in South Australia earlier in the year and should have no problem measuring up to his sort of company. If he is ready, then he can take this out. CHEDDAR BOB (4) had a tough trip and needed the run fresh up here a fortnight ago. He has a superior gate this time, and the extra 235m is ideal. The blinkers come off, and he will finish a lot closer. KINGS CALL (2) made an encouraging debut from a new stable and was only beaten by a head when finishing third. He slides down a grade and will be right in the finish again. SCHUHBECK (5) had his first start from a new stable and finished runner-up. He was tried in front that day and will be hard to peg back again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Quinella Private Sapling and Commissions.
